New Semester

Semester 3! Means that I have 5 semesters more to go? Should I be happy or sad? Seriously, slacking off at home for 6 weeks including vacation, travelling, and you know, stuff-we-do-at-home that is doing nothing, going back to college studying is not really what my mind and body wants but heck, can't tell my mind to rebel for once, I got to go back college right?

So, the lecture ougtha start on Thursday. On Wednesday, with half positive and negative thoughts about starting lecture, I went back to register at the campus admin. Went through the list, get to know who's living what room and which block, registered and got the key. My roomie this year is a senior. Not just any senior. A DEAKIN senior who is in the Student Council. Whahaha.. The pressure! I noticed for my block, the second floor is for DEAKINs while the third is for the foundation programme juniors. As for CoHort 2's students, we're scattered everywhere at both block.

One thing that I dislike, not hate about starting a new semester is cleaning the room part. Time to fight off dust-bunnies, spider webs, siew kiong a.k.a cockroaches and many more things that I probably shouldn't mention anymore. Though I hate cleaning the room, I must admit it is a good exercise for the body. So, cleaning two study tables, two beds, three lights, a ceiling fan, and two closet took me like 3 hours. By the time I finished cleaning, I was dead tired.

Moments later, my roomie arrived with luggages and a big smiling face. I must say, she's a nice and kind person. Motherly like, for me. I was going all nervous about having a senior as a roomie. Ah! Have to behave! No banging doors and going in and out as frequent as usual. Even changing clothes have its akwardness!

For the first night, I rarely stayed in the room. Was going around the block to friends' room, helping them with cleaning and unpacking and others. Luckily, Babu's room is near mine. Since her roomie have not arrive, I decided to hang out at her room to evade the akward situation. Doing so is mean right? Well, I do need time to adjust to the current situation. I am sure it'll fade through time.

The new system for accomodation is not pleasing, seriously! Everyone's complaining here and there. The admin gave a simple reason: to create a multi-racial integration environment in campus. Effective? Nah! A friend of mine said that. She added, "Don't they see this in a wider scope? Instead of bringing the race together, it's breaking us (coursemates) up!" It is true though. Seems like the admin is liking the fact that we're suffering from their ideas?: running from one block to another to finish group assignment and be back at room to abide the curfew and eating unhealthy as we're not being allowed to cook anymore starting this year!

On Thursday, we attend the lectures as usual. Everyone was trying to get the best seat in the house. This sem, I had to sit behind as my previous seat was taken. Back seats are nice as the lecturer hardly notice you but it's way noisy as people who tends to sit behind like to talk. So, you can't concentrate on the lecture. Sigh, too bad. Nevermind, Audrey! Next semester, I'm going to get that seat back! ^^

Since it is a new semester, we have new chief! Rahmad! Ganbatte! I can say that he's this sem's scapegoat. Barely anyone likes to become the chief. Too much work to balance. We got our new schedule. Yeah! No class after 1pm! Excluding GERKO, drill practise and sports... Subject for this semester?

ICT, MTE3106, ELS, ELE, EDU3104, Sports Science : Human Anatomy, Statistics

Today's the second day of lecture for the semester. It was okay? Yeah, could say so right? I just need to break the ice with my roomie and shake off the laziness in me!! Where did the spirited me from last semester went?!
